ADDING Bus Guardian to your Rollcall system

When you are ready to start using Bus Guardian, just send a request to support@rollcall.com.au or ask a School Admin user to set it up in Rollcall system using the following steps.

STEP ONE

Add a Non-student traveller called "Bus Check" using the code printed on the Bus Guardian Board and assigned to Role = Bus Check.

  • SETTINGS | NON STUDENT TRAVELLER
  • +ADD button
  • Enter the details and Save

Note that the token codes on the boards are usually the same, but if you have multiple different code tokens then you will need an entry for each code, so they are all recognised as Bus Checks.

STEP TWO

Turn on Bus Check for each of the Event Groups that are required to complete the Bus Guardian check

  • SETTINGS | EVENT GROUPS
  • Add a Check to the Bus check column as applicable

VIEWING the Bus Guardian Checks
The Bus guardian icon will now appear on the transport screen and operational dashboard and your drivers will be prompted to complete the check after completing their run and prior to logging out.

The ICON is Orange until the check has completed, after which it turns Green to indicate the check has been done

REPORTING the Bus Guardian Checks
The Bus Check Report provides detail of the Date and time the Bus Guardian check was completed

  • REPORTS menu
  • Bus Check report
  • Use Filters as required.

IMPORTANT

NOTE: Drivers aren't prompted to log out of their route after the check is complete and will need to ensure that they select LOGOUT from the Rollcall device menu to end their Route operations. Failing to logout of a route can cause issues with future route operations.
