Transport Screen Overview

The transport screen display will default to:

  • Today's date
  • The Event Group that is currently operational (the AM group before 12pm or PM group after 12pm)
  • The first route (alphabetically) that is operational in the current event group

Change these three filters to view any other route manifest.


BEFORE Route Operations

Use the Rollcall TRANSPORT SCREEN to: 

  1. View a route manifest
  2. Check route statistics. i.e. How many students are Expected on each Route and the Capacity of the bus.
  3. Search for a student booked or travelling on the current date by typing the name in the search field box.
  4. [+Add] a student to a Route (one-time booking only)
  5. Remove a student from a Route (one-time change only)
  6. Change a student to a different Route or Stop
  7. Add a student absence (Multi day change)
  8. Open a Student record (Shortcut via Student name)
  9. Open a Route record (Route options menu)
  10. View a list of changes and absences for the selected date (Route options menu)
  11. Print a manifest for the selected date (Route options menu)


AFTER ROUTE OPERATIONS

Use the Rollcall TRANSPORT SCREEN to: 

  1. View route activity - driver name, manifest, exceptions, scan on and scan off location and times
  2. Check route statistics. i.e. How many students are Logged on and off the bus and the Capacity of the bus.
  3. Search for a student booked or travelling on the current date by typing the name in the search field box.
  4. Open a Student record (Click on Student name)
  5. Open a Route record (Route options menu)
  6. View a list of changes and absences for the date selected (Route options menu)


To add a student to a bus (one-time):


  1. Navigate to the Route using the filters
  2. Click on the [+ Add] Button at the top of the screen
  3. Search and/or Select the student to add from the left column
  4. Select the Stop OR assign the student to "NO STOP ALLOCATED". Note that Wrong Stop and Off Stop exceptions aren't recorded for students without a Stop Allocated.
  5. Confirm by clicking the green Add Button


NOTE: the above process is a "one-time" add. If you need to make a long-term booking for multiple days you will need to use the booking process via the Route Settings | Assign students or Student Settings | Bus Bookings features.

To Output a manifest:

 

  1. Navigate to the Route using the filters
  2. Select Report from the Route Options drop down located under the red "Emergency" button
  3. Select a route to output or report on ALL routes in one of the three available formats

By clicking the Show Route button, the below map is displayed showing the Bus route in order of stops.

By clicking the Route Message button the below window will pop up and a message can be typed and sent to all parent or to parents of children who are still on the bus by ticking that option as per below screen shot.





User are also able to Add Bus Absence of student for a particular date or date range by clicking the [+] button next to the Absentee list.  

The red [Emergency] button allows users to send an email which includes a manifest list of all passengers registered on a bus including the driver to the email address specified e.g emergency services in case of an accident.
