Release Notes 23/08/2024

Please find below our newest Release Notes for new features and enhancements to the RollCall system.

We believe these upgrades will make for a smoother and more secure experience for every user. We appreciate your ongoing support and collaboration.

What’s Improved

  1. Dynamic Stop Times: the integration of dynamic stop times are now available system wide, allowing greater consistency across the RollCall system. This change now includes the availability of dynamic stop times within the Driver App. Integration with the Parent App is coming soon!

Refer to this resource if you want to learn more about dynamic stop times.

  1. Excursions: increased capability to allow multiple driver devices to log into the same route with real-time update of student scans across all devices. This will allow the running of excursions and large-scale events with greater ease and efficiency.

An example of this could be a School Swimming Carnival. There are several RollCall Devices stationed at each entrance to the Carnival, and as students arrive they scan the device to register their arrival. This means attendance can be tracked with ease, allowing for a greater duty of care to be achieved.

  1. Stop Guardian: improvements have been made to the stop guardian colour scheme, as well as the addition of a key, allowing for greater clarity and accessibility, for a heightened user experience.

In addition…

  1. Google Maps: A new colour scheme has been adopted on google maps. This may subtly affect the look and experience of RollCall users on maps within the RollCall system.
