What’s Improved

1. SMS Route Messaging: improvements have been made to the character limit calculation of route messages. This change is to ensure the correct charge per message is applied, preventing extra charges being applied.

2. Zone Payments: new improvements to stop geofence registration within the driver device to prevent incorrect zone charging from occurring.

Tips and Resources

Driver Device Battery Care

To ensure the longevity of your RollCall Driver Devices it is extremely important that several steps are taken to protect the battery health, this is also crucial to ensuring the functionality of the devices is maintained to a high standard.

Keep these 4 tips in mind to ensure your Driver Devices continue functioning at an optimum level:

1. Device charged to 100%? Unplug the device, as overcharging can permanently damage battery life

2. Partial charges beat full ones. Charging to around 80% is ideal

3. Keep batteries at room temperature. Sub-zero temperatures are bad for the battery, as are temperatures above 40ºC

4. Use the RollCall supplied charger. Off-brand chargers are less efficient, and ultra-cheap ones may be dangerous

We recommend that devices are kept and used at above 30% at all times. Running the RollCall Driver Device at below 30% can seriously risk critical functionality of the Device not working.
