Display your routes on your website with RollCall iFrame

Show route and stop information on your website, or share a link to your route map.

The RollCall iFrame displays the latest information for your active routes on a web page. It helps parents find nearby routes and stops. When your admin team updates and saves a route enabled for iFrame, the updated details appear in the display.

Quick path: Settings → Routes → enable In iFrame → Embed iFrame

AM and PM routes only

Only routes in the AM and PM event groups can currently be displayed. All other event groups are hidden from the iFrame by default.

Set up the iFrame

  1. Open the route settings. Go to Settings → Routes.
  2. Choose a route. Select its Action button, then open the Edit Route tab.
  3. Enable the route. Tick In iFrame and save the route. Repeat for each route you want to display.
  4. Get the embed code. Select Embed iFrame at the top of the Route Settings screen. Copy the code or send the instructions to your webmaster.
  5. Add it to your website. Choose where the iFrame will appear. You can place it in a secure part of your website available only to staff or parents.
  6. Tell parents where to find it. Share the page location so families can check the routes and stops.

Share a direct link to the map

You can also include the map link in emails or other electronic communications.

  1. Open the embed code from Embed iFrame.
  2. Copy the iFrame web address from the code. If you are unsure which part to copy, ask your webmaster to identify the map URL.
  3. Paste that address as a hyperlink in your communication. The link opens the map directly in the reader's default browser.

Make stops easy to match to a route

Include the route name or abbreviation in each stop name so parents can see which route serves it. If the stop name does not include a route reference, use matching route and stop colours to make the connection clear.

RouteExample stop name
Centenary Park (CP)CP - Park Rd & John St, Smithville
BlueBLUE - Park Rd & Smith St, Jonestown

Keep the displayed information up to date

Update the relevant iFrame-enabled route in RollCall and save your changes. The new route details will then transfer to the iFrame display.

Displaying stop times: Enter and save the times in the route's Stop Times tab. They will appear in the iFrame automatically. You do not need to contact RollCall Support to enable this.

Bus dates and iFrame visibility: A route can have no bus dates entered and still remain visible in the iFrame. Use the route's In iFrame setting to control whether it is displayed.
