Event Groups - Create an Event Group

Admin Portal - Settings/Event Groups - Create an Event Group on Biteable.


Create an Event Group:


  1. Go to Settings/Event Groups
  2. Select "Add" button
  3. Name Event Group
  4. Save
  5. Select required checkboxes


IMPORTANT- Do not edit the name of your AM or PM event groups. There are system processes unique to these commuter groups that depend on the naming convention used.


OVERVIEW

Event groups are used to group routes together, usually by purpose. 


Your system initially has three basic event groups, the "AM" group the "PM" group and the "Excursion" group. Both the AM and PM event groups hold a special place in the Roll Call system for your commuter route to and from the school each day, and these event groups should not be modified. In particular it is very important to maintain the standard naming of AM and PM.




Preface additional event groups with an X_ and archived event groups with Z_. This will drop them to the bottom of all event group lists, so that the daily AM and PM event groups are always easily accessed at the top of the the event group List in transport, dashboards and reports.

*Each event group name should indicate the purpose of the routes allocated to the group*



RollCall routes are not just used for transport. They can be used to take single attendance, time attendance or grouping students for other purposes - like messaging
