Parent App - How to add a Secondary Carer
- Go to Account Setting Screen
- Select "Manage Secondary Account"
- Select + button in top right corner
- Fill in Secondary Carers details
- Select Secondary Carers Relationship
- Select "Confirm"
Note: Secondary Carers will have access to the RollCall Parent App and the same functionalities as Primary Carers, except they will not be able to invite additional carers.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q Why am I getting this error message when I try to add a secondary carer?
A: The error displayed above will occur if you attempt to add a parent that is already registered with your school, usually as a Primary contact.
Please contact your RollCall provider (School/Bus Company) and ask them to check their parent records.
If the parent is a Primary parent of unengaged status, the school can invite them to use the RollCall system directly using the Welcome email process
If the parent email is a Primary or Secondary parent belonging to a different family then they should contact our support team for advice.
Q Why does my secondary carer show as "Inactive"?
A: Adding a secondary carer sends a system email for the secondary carer to set their password and engage with RollCall - the same as the one you received from the school. When the secondary carer has actioned the email and engaged with the RollCall system, their status will be updated to "Active"
Q How do I remove a Secondary Carer?
A: Only your RollCall provider can remove a parent record from the system and you can contact them to request this.
You can change the Secondary carer to Inactive to remove their access.
- Go to Account Setting Screen
- Select "Manage Secondary Account"
- Tap on the "Edit" button for the carer record
- Tap on the "Active" button to toggle the record to "Inactive"
The system access is removed instantly and the carer can no longer access any information about your attached students or rejoin the system without an invite from the school or you.
Q How do I re-instate Secondary Carer access?
A: You can make a Secondary carer Active again to re-instate their access.
- Go to Account Setting Screen
- Select "Manage Secondary Account"
- Tap on the "Edit" button for the carer record
- Tap on the "inactive" button to toggle the record to "Active"
The system won't send a new Welcome email, but the Secondary carer can now login or if they have forgotten their password, use the Forgot password option to gain access to the RollCall Parent App or Parent web portal on a computer.
