The Supervisor Role (aka Bus Attendant)

Modified on Fri, 4 Apr at 1:28 PM

Overview

Where your bus service includes supervision by an additional adult on board, then you may want to use the Supervisor Role feature in RollCall. The Supervisor Role allows you to account for the additional adult traveller/s and record evidence that they have followed any oeprational policies you may have in place - e.g. a Seatbelt check or additional empty bus check or head count.

All RollCall Supervisors are issued with a RollCall tag or an RFID card to register their attendance on the Bus Route.

The role of the RollCall Supervisor is generally as follows:

  1. After the Driver has logged into the RollCall device, the Supervisor scans their tag to register their presence on the Bus with the RollCall Device. The Supervisor's name is added to the driver manifest and recorded on the transport event in the RollCall Admin Console - operational dashboard and transport screen.
  2. Students scan on/off the bus as required while the Supervisor monitors the device to ensure all scans are recorded correctly
  3. When the route is finished and all students have scanned off and departed the bus, the Supervisor will confirm the route as complete on the device
  4. The Supervisor then uses the driver device to scan the supervisor card (as pictured below) at the back of the bus after completing their bus check.
