Understanding the User Interface

The Operational Dashboard is set out as a table with the Routes each having their own row and listed in alphabetical order. There are columns showing the unique information for each route. These include:

  • Route Name: Displays the route name and name of the driver who logged in to to the specific route. This allows users to easily identify which driver is responsible for each route.
  • Logged on: Shows the time the driver logged into the system and a comparison to the expected login time. This helps track whether drivers are ready for their routes on time.
  • First Stop: Shows the time the driver arrived at the first stop in comparison to the expected arrival time - stored in the Stop Times Tab of the route settings. This helps track whether drivers are ready for their routes on time.
  • Transit: Displays the transit and stop status for the route. It allows users to quickly see the overall progress of the route and which stops have been serviced.
    • When the Stop is highlighted in the route colour (Stops 4 and 6), the bus has stopped at that stop location
    • Grey (stop 5) indicates the stop was missed on this journey
    • The red/green bibble on each stop holds the number of minutes the bus was ahead (green) or behind (red) the scheduled stop time, when it arrived at the stop.
  • Bus Utilisation Donut Chart: Shows the number of passengers currently on the bus (dark green) compared to the capacity of the Bus, giving a real-time count of those onboard. The circle will be coloured dark green as students board and then as the numbers drop it will change to light green to retain an indication of the total passengers carried.
  • Route Statistics Pop-up: Easily view the traveller statistics for each route by hovering over the Bus Utilisation Donut Chart.
  • Bus Guardian:Indicates whether the Bus Guardian Checks have been completed, ensuring that duty of care standards can be met and for Teacher and Supervisor checks, include details of the person responsible when the cursor is hovered over the icon. Available checks include:
    • Driver Check completed (Green)
    • Teacher/School Check Scan On (Orange)
    • Teacher/School Check Completed (Green)
    • Supervisor Scan on (Orange)
    • Supervisor Check complete (Green)
  • More Details Menu (three dots): Provides a menu with shortcut options that open the individual Route settings directly from the Operational Dashboard.

Available Functions

  • Live Route Data: View real-time route information, including location tracking and route deviations.
  • Bus Utilisation: Monitor the current utilisation of buses, including capacity and real-time occupancy.
  • Bus Guardian: Ensure no child is left on the bus with live tracking of Bus Guardian adherence.
  • Transit KPIs: Analyse performance metrics such as on-time performance, driver shift adherence, and operational efficiency.
