1. GENERAL CARE AND HANDLING

Handle with care

Ensure careful handling when docking or removing devices from the cradle. Use a cradle with padding to prevent scratches.

Avoid Moisture and Dust

Regularly clean devices and cradles with a dry cloth. Avoid exposure to moisture and dust to prevent internal damage.

Regular Inspections

Conduct periodic inspections for wear and tear, battery swelling, and clean connectors to maintain functionality and prolong device life.

2. STORAGE AND THEFT PROTECTION

Secure Storage

Whether storing the device inside the vehicle, ensure it is out of sight and use a lockable compartment, if available, to protect against theft. When storing inside the vehicle, provide a padded pouch (pencil case or similar) for added protection from heat/cold and knocks or scratches to the device.

Remove Devices

If possible and deemed safer to do so, remove the device when the vehicle is left unattended.

Training

Conduct regular training on security best practices and device safety importance.
