What You'll Need:

  • SIM card ejector tool (usually included with your device) or a small paperclip.
  • Flat surface

Steps:

  1. Power Off the Device:

    • Turn off your Android device to avoid any potential damage or data loss.
  2. Place the Device on a Flat Surface (Optional but Recommended):

    • Place your device on a flat, stable surface. This will help prevent the device from slipping and provide better control during the process.
  3. Locate the SIM Card Tray:

    • Look for the SIM card tray on the side of your device. A small, rectangular outline with a pinhole next to it.
  4. Insert the Ejector Tool:

    • Insert the SIM card ejector tool (or a straightened paperclip) into the small hole next to the SIM card tray.
    • Gently press until the tray pops out.
  5. Remove the SIM Card Tray:

    • Pull the tray out gently from the device.
  6. Remove the SIM Card:

    • Take the SIM card out of the tray.
    • IMPORTANT - Handle the SIM Card carefully to avoid any damage and take note of the orientation of the SIM card in the tray so that you can replace it correctly, as necessary.
  7. Reinsert the Tray:

    • Place a new SIM card (or the existing SIM back) in the tray and slide the tray back into the device.
    • Ensure the tray is fully inserted and flush with the edge of your device.
  8. Power On the Device:

    • Turn your device back on.
