Viewing Student Notes on the RollCall Driver Device

The Admin team are able to communicate basic information to the driver device for each student by using the "Medical" check box and the "Notes" field in each student record.

There are two features of the RollCall driver device manifest that are linked to information from the student record.

Changing the tag colour next to the student name on the driver manifest from black (default) to orange.
Allowing access to information about the student from the Notes field of the Student record.

Below is an image of a sample student record using these features.

When the Medical checkbox is checkmarked, Ashlee's tag Icon is changed from black to orange. Each RollCall provider should communicate to their drivers what the orange tag means for them through their training and policies.

When Notes are also entered and the "Student Info" feature is turned on for your driver devices, the driver will be able to access the notes using the "!" icon to the right of the student name and then selecting "Student Information" from the pop up menu to view the note on the driver device.

Note: The pop up menu options are all switched off by default and you may need to ask for this featrue to be activated. Please contact support@rollcall.com.au to switch on any of the optional driver device features.

Please note that after the feature is switched on, it is available for all students and the drivers will be able to view any note entered for any student on their manifest.

Although the feature was originally designed for student Medical Alerts, it can be used for alternate purposes. Below are some examples of how RollCall providers use this feature.

EXAMPLE 1 - Student Guardianship

The orange tag alerts the driver that the student requires a guardian to be present when departing the bus.

The Notes field contains the name and contact phone number for the student guardians.

EXAMPLE 2 - Important student Information

The orange tag alerts the driver that there is important information that the driver needs to know about the student.

The notes field contains any information that the team want to communicate to the driver.
